CALGARY, Alberta, October 2, 2020 — Kathairos Solutions Inc. (“Kathairos”) and Velvet Energy Ltd. (“Velvet”), both Alberta-based companies, announced today that they have initiated the first-ever well site using a liquid nitrogen-based system developed to eliminate methane emissions from routine site venting, producing an unprecedented zero-emission result, and exceeding current regulatory objectives.
Undetected and vented fugitive methane gas is more damaging to the environment than carbon dioxide emissions. Our technology moves beyond simply measuring fugitive emissions, to eliminating them, making it a step function change in the fight to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
